my Mac Pro doesn't synchronize with iCloud Drive anymore

For some years now I have my iMac en my Mac Pro sharing Documents en Desktop (among others) via iCloud Drive. Since some weeks now the Pro doesn't synchronize whit iCloud anymore: uploads of new or changed files do not work. With the iMac there is no problem with uploading. Since today, after I tried to solve the problem, the Pro doesn't react on passive synchronization (form iMac to Pro) either. I have not the faintest clue what is wrong...

On the Mac Pro, try going to System Preferences/iCloud (Apple ID for Catalina) and stop iCloud Drive syncing by unchecking the box. Wait a couple of minutes, then check syncing. Allow time for the sync to complete.

Last resort  - have you tried signing out of iCloud and then sign back in?
