How do I delete Pro Search Tip from Google Chrome? It has become my default page when I open a tab. My default search engine is now: search1703548-a.akamaihd.net, and I cannot delete it. Deleted from extensions--it is still there. Reset Chrome--still there. Any help appreciated.

If you suspect you have installed adware/malware. Try running this trusted utility https://www.malwarebytes.com/mac/
I ran malwarebytes (free edition) and it spotted 13 items and required reboot. The "search1703548-a.akamaihd.net" is still default, so I ran it again and caught 2 items, but it's still there. Weird part is that I've removed Bing from the search engine lists and that's what is being used. The only one remaining is google.
