Where are filter tools in AppleTV

Am I missing something or did Apple really put out a service where your choices to filter movies or TV shows is “trending”? What happened to filters by genre, by artist, by direc? And to TV shows by network? Imdie films? Foreign films?.

On what device are you trying to sort?

It seems like you want to browse, instead of search by title. You can put genres in the search box. You can search by actor or director (cast and crew). TV shows will be listed separately from movies. ‘Trending’ is just the default, to put certain titles in the spotlight, that might be relevant for the majority.

With more than 25,000* TV shows, and 65,000* films, you have to search for something to narrow it down a bit.
