Apple Watch move ring showing wrong numbers

the move ring on my Apple Watch is showing numbers in the thousands when in the ‘home screen’ or watch face.

but when I open the app it shows numbers in the hundreds (the correct number, this is also what shows on my phone).

I have restarted my watch and phone a couple of times. I have also let both devices ‘die’ and recharged from nil.

is anyone else having this issue? Or know how I might fix it?

it has been happening for 48 hours now.
