I have a Yamaha THR10c amp. When I connect the amp to my MacBook Pro vis USB it does not show as either an input or an output option. I've downloaded and installed the Yamaha/Steinberg drivers a few times and no success.
Does anyone know what I am missing here?

couple of things,
check Mac security preferences (allow mic access to..)are allowing access to the the interface,
if you’ve done this,
when you reinstalled the drivers you uninstalled first?, if not I’d do it that way. Also you probably know this but make sure the firmware is correct and up to date for the 10c.
Check your USB cable just to be sure
when you have done all this reboot your Mac and your amp, re- connect and switch amp on then Mac.

congdor was referring to System Preferences > Security & Confidentiality settings blocking the driver. As he was was not clear about it, you may have to look under the General or Privacy tab.

Go to security settings on your Mac and allow the mic access to your THR
are you using the Catalina drivers?
If so have you rebooted your Mac after installing the drivers?
cable ok?
what options do you see in control panel sounds?
You could try starting THR editor go to: Edit , then to Preferences , then Select DATA IN and DATA OUT to your amp (THR-10C)
Then see if that works?
It worked. Looks like the security settings were blocking the driver from installing properly.

I am using the latest drivers from Yamaha. Updated on November 21, 2019 as per the site. I’ve rebooted and reinstalled and rebooted again. I know the THR is connected to my Mac as I can use the THR editor. The amp is not showing as an input or output option in either the Control Panel>Sound or Utilities>Audio MIDI Setup.
DATA IN and DATA OUT preferences on the THR Editor were already set to the THR10C. The amp is still not an input/output option in Logic, Utitlies, or the Control Panel. It does appear as a MIDI input but isn't actually controlling anything.
