why is my macbook pro not detecting my new fender LT50 guitar amp connected by usb micro?

Thanks very much for your assistance. It actually turned out that the amp needed an OTG cable and I was using the standard apple cable!

We found a Fender support page that might help with How do I record to my computer using my USB-equipped Fender® amp?  – Fender Tone®

When taking these steps, do you see the Fender listed in System Preferences > Sound > Input?

If the issue remains, do you have any pending updates for macOS?
