MacBook Pro M1 macOS Ventura v13.4 does not detect Behringer XR18

Well, I was able to find the solution to my question. I was so close to solving this before I posted. Anyway, I thought I would reply to my own posting to help the next person trying to figure this out. So, here are the steps to get the MacBook Pro M1 to recognize the XR18:

1. Update the XR18 firmware to version 1.20;
2. Update the X-Air Edit app to version 1.8;
3. Update macOS Ventura to version 13.5;
4. Connect the MacBook to the XR18 using a USB 3.0 to USB type C cable;
5. Power down the XR18 and wait about 10 seconds;
6. Power up the XR18 and you will see the XR18 choice in Settings/Sounds area of the MacBook Pro.

This procedure should work on the M2 MacBook as well but I can't be sure because I don't have access to one.

Thanks for the advice. I updated the XR18 firmware and the XAir software before I posted. I did update to Ventura 13.5 after I posted. Unfortunately, there wasn't any change after the 13.5 update. So, the saga continues. Thanks again.
