No Netflix video on TV from iPad using HDMI and Lightning AV cables

Apple, I want to watch downloaded Netflix videos from my iPad onto my TV at my Remote Vermont cabin. No internet there. The only way seems to be an HDMI cable and your Lightning to digital AV adapter. I paid a lot of money for that Apple product. However, only the sound and ribbons appear on my TV. Reading comments, it sounds like you've intentionally blocked this video feature. Would like you to reconsider this.

This could be a Netflix issue and not related to anything that Apple has done.

Have you tried simply disconnecting and reconnecting this adapter?

Have you tried a hard reset of your iPad by holding down both the Home and sleep/wake buttons simultaneously until your iPad goes to black and restarts with Apple logo, then release the buttons with the adapter still connected?
