Seems that my safari has been hacked

I can not, for the life of me, change the first page that safari starts on and right now, it defaults to this shady search "engine".... I wouldn't recommend clicking on it. But I want it gone and can't figure it out!!!

You have adware/malware installed. Use  Malwarebytes Anti-Malware for Mac. It may be necessary to run more than one scan. After scanning a couple of times, restart the computer and test. If necessary, follow the manual instructions.  Do not download any other programs that are listed in the articles.   Malwarebytes uninstall

Search.anysearch.net uninstall

unfortunately this did scan and remove some unwanted adware/malware including what looked as though would be the this issue. However it is still there. Now all the scans also show up clean so it's not finding it anywhere else.
