The Smart Sync feature of Dropbox is broken in Catalina

the Smart Sync feature of Dropbox seems to broken in Catalina, other users reported this problem a few weeks ago and I could find no solution posted.

Dropbox App is not working on macOS I am running macOS Catalina (10.15) and I have installed Dropbox's app version 83.4.152 (83.4.152), and when using the Dropbox app I have a lot of folders and files I want to make Online Only to save storage on my hard drive. When I click on a folder/file and use the hamburger menu on the right and select Smart Sync and then click Online Only it does not persist and the files/folders do not get marked with the Online flag. dropbox not syncing on Catalina Dropbox does not syncs new word documents created on its folders. All is synced, except the new files. Only in Catalina. I will have to roll back to Mojave if I can't find a solution because I cannot afford not to have Dropbox working.

iCloud not syncing since Catalina OS update I recently updated my iMac to Catalina OS 10.15.1 Since then my iCloud stop syncing. I have a MacBook Pro using Mojave, I have an iPad Pro and an iPhone 11 Pro Plus and all sync with iCloud except the iMac running Catalina. Next time I will wait 3-6 months to update OS like I usually do. Big mistake on my part, one I won't make with my MacBook Pro.

According to Dropbox, You need to be running 10.15.2 or later, the latest release of Dropbox, and have no third party security/cleaner/booster apps running
