Photos app does not display some photos in Years, Months or Days mode

I have to select All Photos to see some - possibly ones I didn't create by the Camera app (for example screenshots). Can I change that?

Hi Patricia W,

Thanks for reaching out here in the Apple Support Communities. I see that you are looking to see all your photos, sorted by Years, or Months, or Days from your Photos app, and I'm glad to help with this.

The reason you're not seeing all your photos in these views is because it's not designed to see everything; that's done with All Photos.

According to Organize and find your photos , "Enjoy a curated view of your best moments in the Photos tab and browse by Years, Months, Days, or All Photos for your complete library."

In some of the views, you may be able to see a number in the lower-right corner that you can tap on to see all the photos in that view, but if not, it's because it's not designed to see everything.

You may want to check in the App Store to see if there are any add-ons there for Photos that will help organize your photos in a way that works better for you.

Hope this helps!
