Unable to check for updates - SSL Error

MacOS Catalina Version 10.15.2 (19C57) and System Preferences -> Software Update doesn't seem to access Apple's servers.

It does this repeatedly. Any suggestions how to get this working reliably?

(BTW I'm on wired network.)

Security Update on MacPro not happening due to false "no internet connection" download block Running MacOS Catalina version 10.15.7 on both 2019 and late 2013 MacBook Pros, both set to auto update. When I check for software update and click "more info," both computers show that an update MacOS Catalina Security Update 2022-005 is available. I have tried multiple times to "install now," but continually get a message that "An internet connection is required to install" -- but this is not correct, I am internet connected. I have rebooted my router and computers, tried multiple things, and always get this same "no internet connection" message. Questions: am I correct in assuming that I need this additional Catalina update even though already running Catalina 10:15:7? AND HOW DO I GET PAST THE "NO INTERNET CONNECTION" MESSAGE TO GET THE SECURITY UPDATE INSTALL PROCESS MOVING? Thanks!

Didn't get a response from the Apple Software Update server. Make sure you're connected to the Internet, and then try again. I'm unable to install an update. I get the error message "Didn't get a response from the Apple Software Update server. Make sure you're connected to the Internet, and then try again." It is trying to install Security Update 2020-002 10.14.6 and Safari 13.1. This is a iMac (21.5-inch, 2017) iMac18,1. I just tried restarting the computer and it is now trying to upgrade to macOS Catalina 10.15.4. I get the same error message.
