Smart keyboard input panel blocked by bottom panel with third-party apps

iPad Pro 12.9” (3rd generation), iPadOS 13.3, smart folio keyboard

When I am entering text in some apps, such as facebook messenger, the input panel is covered by the panel at the bottom of the screen. That panel comes up with predictive text and a couple of other options. There is a down arrow on the right-hand side. It works, but as soon as I start to enter text, the panel opens again, obscuring the input panel once again.

I do not have the same problem with on-screen keyboards.

This only started happening recently.

Any suggestions?

Thanks. I was trying to crop using Adobe Acrobat. It seems that PDF’s cannot be copied to the messages.

The screenshots below show what the screen looks like. In order to remove personal information, I cropped it so that only the bottom inch or so is showing.

The top photo is what I see before I start to type. As soon as I put my cursor into the input panel, the screen resembles the bottom photo. As you can see, the input panel is nowhere to be found.

Hi, Thanks for getting back to me.

I have the screen shots. However, I cannot figure out how to attach them. It seems that I can only use a web link to add files.

Am I missing something.

I have the same problem. Also only with external keyboards and not with on-screen keyboards. I was going to try to get a screen shot, but somehow I made the problem temporarily go away, as the blocks of text moved to the center of the screen somehow, so I could see both the text entry point and all the stupid suggested words. I’ve experimented with turning off the spell check and keyboard suggestions, and it still has a block where those suggestions would ordinarily be, blocking my text entry point. Very annoying.
