iPad Pro Smart Keyboard: Bars at bottom of screen interfere with chat

I have an iPad Pro Smart Keyboard that is really great.

On some chat sessions, the ‘bars’ at the bottom of the screen cover the input box for the chat.

I end up having to press the down arrow to make the bars go away so that I can see what I’ve typed.

Is there a better way to accomplish this?

iPadOS: 13.5.1

Chrome browser

iPad Pro Model: MPDY2LL/A

Hello,

You can disable keyboard Shortcuts in Settings > General > Keyboard.

Well, that Setting removes a part of the issue.

However, my input field is still overlaid.
