Logic and Komplete Kontrol A49?

HI!

Got the Komplete Kontrol A49 today. A nice keyboard/ controller. It works like a charm, except with Logics own plugins! I can't make one of the 8 controller knobs recognise anything in a Logic instrument.

Works perfectly in Ableton Live.

So it's not an NI/Mac issue, I guess.

I have no problems when I work within the Komplete Kontrol plugin, but that doesn't support Logic instruments...

Yamaha S90 ES not controlling all instruments I have two midi controllers that i use in Logic, a 49 key Komplete Kontrol and a Yamaha S90 ES. All of a sudden the Yamaha isn't controlling all plug ins. It will control most, but some (for example UVI Falcon & Omnisphere Keyscape) aren't being triggered. The Komplete Kontrol is working flawlessly on everything. Whats even more confusing to me is that the control bar in Logic is getting the correct info from the Yamaha, its just not triggering those plug ins. This set up has been working for me without incident up until a week ago. I don't think anything changed in my set up (no updates etc). Im on an older mac so I'm running El Capitan. Any help is appreciated. Specs below if needed Mac Pro Early 2009 10.11.6 Logic Pro X 10.3.1

MIDI source for internal instruments? I have Logic Pro X set up with a Fishman TriplePlay guitar controller and TriplePlay software to access the various internal patches. But I also have an Alesis keyboard that is connected via MIDI out to a MOTU Micro Lite MIDI interface. I have an internal instrument track set up and it seems to default to the TriplePlay controller and plugin for source. How would I designate the Alesis keyboard as source and what libraries and patches could I use from within Logic? In the input side I only see TriplePlay listed as active input device. Why would I not see the QS8 (Alesis keyboard) as another option? I am doubtful that this type of issue would be addressed by a Logic manual or one of the peripheral device manuals alone. It appears to be how the Mac system and Logic manage priorities for USB input for the sake of the Audio/MIDI setup assistant. Or am I missing something? I do have the QS8/Micro Lite designated as source for an external instrument track. I had trouble getting the playback of recording on that track to be audible. But it was a setting on the QS8 keyboard that I had to make right. So the play back can only be via the general MIDI patches on the keyboard. I don't see how to assign other banks and programs that exist on the keyboard. It would be better to set up an internal instrument track and assign the QS8 as input source. Latest version of Logic 10.4.6 Serious Midi/Automation Flaws First I noticed that setting the quantize in the dialog box on the arrange page does not work. Midi info is un-quantized when played into Logic even if the dialog box is set to a quantize value. I have to quantize the regions separately or go into note editor. Now I noticed that my Access Virus TI will control the plugin but Logic will not record automation any more from knob moves on the desktop unit. The knobs will control the plugin but no automation is recorded. I have to mouse the knob on the plugin to record any automation which renders the desktop unit useless. Used to work fine in previous Logic versions. I contacted Access about this issue and this is their response: We have reports that something in this regard broke in the very latest Logic Pro X release from Apple. This worked perfectly fine before with the Virus TI OS 5.1.7 and other 10.4 releases of Logic Pro X, so at this point we can only recommend to report this to Apple's support. The more reports they get in this direction, the higher the chance this gets fixed again by Apple. So I am hoping someone from Logic who has the power to fix these problems will do something here. I have never in 20+ years had to go online here to post bugs but these are big ones that might underline a more serious flaws in the new version. Can I go back to Logic 10.4.5?
