Pooh6456-,

Thanks for getting back to us. If the same issue is happening with other Wi-Fi networks, then it is possibly a hardware issue with the iPhone. You can try restoring to factory settings and testing again: Restore your iPhone, iPad, or iPod to factory settings. Be sure and follow "Get your device ready" and make a backup. If the issue continues after the restore, please contact support.

Have a great weekend!

Hi Pooh6456-,

Thanks for coming to Apple Support Communities for help today with your iPhone 11 Pro Max. It sounds like it won't work on Wi-Fi unless it is close to the router/modem.

This article can help you troubleshoot Wi-Fi: If your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch won’t connect to a Wi-Fi network. Be sure you test the iPhone on another Wi-Fi network. This can help isolate the issue to your iPhone or the network.

Have a fantastic day!
