USB-C Adapter

I use this adapter to connect an external keyboard/mouse and/or external back up device. After returning from a trip and not using it for a few days, it was not working so I ordered a new one. It just arrived and it doesn't work either. I have a MacBook Pro with two Thunderbolt ports. I have tried switching with the power port to no avail. Please help!

USB-C Digital AV Multiport Adapter for MacBook Pro not working I purchased the USB-C Digital AV Multiport Adapter from Apple 1 month ago. The only port in this adapter that works is the USB-A. The USB-C port does not work. Is this a malfunction of the equipment or is there a setting on the MAC that will fix this problem?

Try resetting NVRAM/PRAM http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1379
