Vision Impaired

What is to come of the finger print sensor?

I’ve had iPhones with bad fingers sensors. Regardless of the likelihood of the sensor going yet again. I still prefer it than FaceID.

Thats just my choice.

I’m hoping to keep my old phone as long as I can before I’m force to purchase something else. I would love to remain in the eco-system but preference and features are everything to me.

I’ve left Android many years ago due to the lack of OS upgradable. I just fear my preferred method of security will push me back. So the fear for a old person like myself is factored into one thing. And that’s Choice.

Not having a choice is the point I’m making. Medically I’m to except vision complications. Which I’ve noticed for months. So I wonder how I could continue with iPhone given the limited choices.

I haven’t read anything good when it comes to visually impaired people using FaceID.

This is my major concern since visually I might need more help.

Will there be a finger sensor option for those with visual needs?

Will there be a under screen sensor option in the next iPhone?

Choice is everything. I don’t want to be silenced for asking. I’m just seeing things differently.

Currently, the iPhone 8 still has Touch ID. There is no way of anyone here knowing what Apple may do in the future. This is a user to user support forum and Apple does not participate here. Speculation about what Apple may or may not do is also prohibited here on the forum. Your best bet at this point is to take what you typed out here and paste it into a feedback to Apple. Go to www.apple.com/feedback/iphone.html and put that in the text box so Apple can be aware of your concerns.

You have some very valid points from your perspective and I can see that your suggestions mean a lot to you. This forum/community that you are posting to is made up of users of Apple Products just like you. Some come here and post questions and some come here to answer those questions.

I believe that your concerns need to get directly to Apple via product feedback. Here is a link that will lead you directly to the Apple Product Feedback page Product Feedback - Apple

Thank You.
