finding serial number on macbook pro

my macbook is lost and shows up on “find my” (location is off and i’ve locked my macbook) but it is not listed in my devices. how can i find the serial number? i want to try and track it at local pawn shops but i don’t know how to get the serial number

Where can I find my Macbook Pro Serial number if the device is on Find My but not on My Devices? My macbook pro was stolen yesterday, and I can open the Find My app and see it (it's not on right now, so there isn't a location, but I put for a notification once it goes back online). Can I trace my serial number of macbook pro 2017 13 inch if I marked it lost and user is offline? I Traced my mac-book pro 2017 like a day ago but now its offline. I guess user wiped my OS and reinstalled is there a way I can track the device using my serial number and apprehend the thief?

Check the back of the box that the MacBook came in, if you still have it.

It will be listed on there.

The serial number would be on original paper work / original box it shipped in.
