burst mode on iPhone 11 pro max

I take a lot of bird pictures and used burst mode to catch them in flight. I’m old (72 years ) and hold the phone with two hands and click on up volume button to snap a picture, like on a real camera. on my 7 Plus i could hold it down for burst mode. when i do this only 11 pro max it goes to video ,,,the same thing when i use my remote button.

Holding the phone steady and pointed at the bird, and sliding the virtual button in the right direction is beyond me.

I’ve tried taking video at 4K and parsing but the quality suffers.

Does anyone have work around or know how I could make a suggestion to Apple to consider using the down volume for burst mode? thanks Bruce
