Just upgraded to mac OS Catalina other software not working now

I know this subject has been covered before, I've got some answers. I know Microsoft Office 2011 won't work. If I upgrade to Microsoft Office 2019 will I be able to open my old Word, Excel docs 2011 ?


I've got a very good printer, not that old at all Cannon G3500, It won't print all of a sudden, probably due to upgrade does anyone have any answer on that please ?

iPhoto won't work and so many other things won't work ?


Think it might a a good idea to go back to the older mac OSX. will I loose all data if I do this ?

Yes, if you update to Office 2019, you can open docs that are created with office 2011

If you are looking for a free alternative, try LibreOffice for Mac

go to the Canon website and download a new driver for your printer. It’s available

iPhoto doesn’t exist anymore, you should be able to use the Photo app

If you upgrade to office 2019 all your documents will be accessible.


you can open your iphoto library with Photos which is better


If you want to know what else will not run (32 bit apps) install go64 https://www.stclairsoft.com/Go64/index.html

You were advised to make at least two backups before upgrading. You can restore the whole Mac from one of those. Restoring parts is problemmatic
