have been experience uneven battery drain in my AirPods 1st gen

I have a pair of 1st gen. They don't get a lot of us. I have been experience uneven battery drain. I read the articles and followed the advice to reset and repair. I have also tried draining. Here is where the problem starts. So, i believe that I have drained the AirPods because they die while playing music. To make sure, I slip them into my case for 5 seconds and then reconnect them to my iPhone to make sure I have a complete drain. Well, now they show up with 80 percent battery on my phone. The right died after 5 minutes, the left has played for 20. Any help on whats going on here? Is a complete drain necessary to try and fix the uneven and quick battery drain issue?

Thanks

Hello,

Check all of the connections for lint or other debris and see this:

Charge your AirPods with charging case and learn about battery life

If your AirPods won’t charge

If you're still having issues, the batteries may need to be replaced:

AirPods Service and Repair

Good luck.
