Airpods Pro won't let me change the name of them

My Airpod's Pro that I got for Christmas are set to my old phones name. Whenever I try to change the name, I change it and back out of the page and the old name is immediately back. I have checked for software updates (I'm on iOS 13.3) have restarted my device but I still can't change the name of my Airpod's. Can anyone help?

Hello,

Start with a full reset: Reset your AirPods

Then follow these steps:

Place the connected AirPods in your ears and have the cover of the charging case open
Go to Settings > Bluetooth and select the circled “i” next to your AirPods
Change the name or anything else on the screen
