How do I remove the lock icon from the Safari search bar on Mac?

Current Behavior

I always accidentally click on this lock icon because its perfectly centered in the search bar. An information modal appears. This is annoying.

This happens:

Required Behavior

I only use the search bar for two reasons:

(1) to search

(2) to type in a url

I do not wish to see the lock icon in the search bar. The lock should be to the left of the search bar, like Chrome. I would never click on the search bar and expect to see an information modal appear. This is terrible.

MacBook Pro 16", macOS 10.15
