Unable to check org.chromium.chromoting.me2me.sh in Privacy & Security on Catalina
Having installed Chrome Remote Desktop on my Catalina Mac, I can't check the org.chromium.chromoting.me2me.sh checkbox.
There is another discussion on Communities regarding suppressing the popup message around enabling Chrome Remote Desktop that presents at login, but it appears that the originator didn't want or didn't know they'd installed Chrome Remote Desktop.
In my case, I want Chrome Remote Desktop to work, but it's not possible to enable the org.chromium.chromoting.me2me.sh checkbox. Clicking on it does nothing.
After removing the org.chromium.chromoting.me2me.sh item from the list, it can't then be added back in. It's not highlighted as a selection option in the /Library/PrivelegedHelperTools directory.
On the surface, it appears that shell scripts can't be added to Privacy & Security as only the .app and .bundle types are available for selection.
As an experiment, I've added and enabled ChromeRemoteDesktopHost.app to Privacy & Security and will test to see if this gives me a functioning Chrome Remote Desktop.
Interestingly, this is only an issue on one of my three Macs (a mid 2018 27") while the other two (a late 2019 27" with Catalina and a mid 2011 27" with Mojave) talk to each other just fine.
I'll come back later with some observations.
