Videos pixelated after transfer from iPhone 11 Pro to PC - and more

Hi

I've just transferred all the photo and video files from my iPhone to my PC. I do this every so often so I can keep every video and photo I have ever taken (as opposed to in iCloud where if I delete off my device they disappear from the cloud too).

However this time, most of the .mov can not be watched on my PC. I have never had this problem before. The videos are either badly pixelated, show no movement (e.g. we have a bad storm here and I videoed the wind in the trees but playing it on my PC back it shows totally still trees - it's perfectly fine on my phone though). Or the video plays for a second or two and then goes into some weird, greyed out screen.

I really am at a loss as to why this is happening, especially as I have transferred to my PC - and watched videos - many times before. I did transfer a lot today - around 1500 files ranging from .HEIC to .jpg and .mov

Can anyone help please?

How did you import videos to PC? When you import videos from your iOS device to your PC, some might be rotated incorrectly in Windows Photos app. You can add these videos to iTunes to play them in the correct orientation.

If you have iCloud Photos turned on, you need to download the original, full resolution versions of your photos to your iPhone before you import to your PC. Find out how.
