No Pictures or Videos were Found on this Device

I have several thousand photos and videos on my iPhone XS. The last time I imported photos was Oct 2018 without any issues. Now, when I connect my iPhone to my computer, click yes for Trust I get a message that says "We're having trouble connecting". So, then I opened Windows Explorer, found my Apple device under This PC, right click and choose Import...now I am getting "No Pictures or Videos were Found on this Device".

This is super frustrating. I have tried 2 different computers. 2 different cables and multiple different USB slots. I have also tried to snapping new pictures to see if I could import more recent photos but I get the same message - "No Pictures or Videos were Found on this Device".

Here is what I am running...

iTunes version one computer is 12.10.3.1 and the other is running 12.9.3.3

iPhone iOS version 13.3

Windows 10

I just want to get my photos moved off my phone to my computer. Any and all help is appreciated.
