Slow and laggy

Anyone else using the apple music app on android experiencing this behavior? I find the app is almost usless on android. I have two phones a work iphone 11pro and a personal android s10+. I subscribe to the apple music service on my iphone and it works flawlessly, no issues. I use the same app on my android phone(because I dont always have my iphone with me) and its just a big POS. I have to force close it once or twice to get it to work right. When I stream music it just stops playing after 1 or 2 songs then I have to close the app and open it again to get it to work. Searching and downloading songs is horrible, it takes forever to load search results. I for one see a huge difference in the performance of this app between android and apple devices. Please tell me I'm not alone.
