I just activated my Apple TV+ 1 year trial that comes with a new phone purchase. I noticed most of the channels require a subscription, but HBO is playing Game of Thrones seemingly for free. I do not have an HBO subscription and I was not requested to purchase the episode. I want to be sure I will not be billed without my consent for watching the seemingly free series. Can anyone explain this to me?

HBO is not included with Apple TV Plus.
You might have activated a free 7 day trial for HBO?
You can look in subscriptions to see if it has you subscribed and from there you can cancel it before any charges incur
For help with recurring charges, you can view, change, or cancel your subscriptions and check your purchase history to see if you were charged.
Other than that I have come across some free shows from other Apps that show up in the Apple TV App on my Apple TV.
The shows included in your subscription will have the tv+ logo on them - those are free.

While looking for subscription information, I scrolled to the right under the banner "Free Series Premiers / Watch without a subscription" and I noticed that GOT was listed. So this must be one of a handful of programs that are being promoted for free. I just initially happened to land on that title while browsing and was surprised i was not asked to subscribe to watch.
