Coordinating photo & audio in IMovie
Can I attach a picture to a certain place on the audio, so that when I add other photos it doesn't change where the original photo was.

Yes, you can attach a photo to a certain place on the audio clip.
Audio clips are attached to the video clips above them by a little green attachment handle. The handle is at the beginning of the audio clip. However, you can move the handle anywhere you want on the audio clip by holding down the Option and Command keys while clicking anywhere along the audio clip. The handle moves to wherever you click. So, if you move the handle along the audio clip so it is connected to a specific video clip above it, that video clip will be attached, or locked, to the audio at that point. Anywhere you move the video clip, the audio will move with it. In other words, adding other photos may move the specific video clip along the time line, but the audio will move with it.
