Activity rings

How come the activity on my watch and phone gives me 5 min of exercise when I shoveled snow for 2 hours? What apps tracks things like shoveling snow, mopping floors, digging ditches and raking? Many people who are active and working, do not get credit unless you go to the gym or some other activity I do not have the leisure time to do? My fitbit used to allow you to create an exercise like raking leaves to count as exercise.
