Transferring From one iPod to Another

For whatever reasons, my iPod Touch has stopped allowing me to drag and drop my own music to it. I have tried everything for months to no avail. I still have an iPod Classic that works as it did when I bought it. What must I do to get the Touch's music onto the Classic? Is it just a question of plugging the Classic into iTunes? Thanks.
