macOS Mojave keeps timing out and will not download the updates

My Mac with macOSMojave keeps timing out and will not download the updates. Any ideas?

Software update: Gateway timeout error I keep trying to download the macOS Mojave 10.14.6 update and it always start with 817mb already downloaded. The bar doesn't move or update and after 2-3 minutes I receive a gateway timed out error. Any suggestion on how to remedy this?

Use an ethernet connection to your router rather than rely on WiFi, do not use the mac when it is downloading.
