Deleted contacts

I have recently swapped the contents of one iPhone 6s to another and have lost some contacts.

Can I recover specific contacts from my i Cloud backups?

Welcome to Apple Support Communities.

From what I've read is that you're missing some contacts since transferring data. I'd like to help. Typically contacts are synced with email. I'd first check your contact settings: Manage and delete contacts on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch

If you're using iCloud Contacts, they would not be included in your backup.

Let me know if your contacts are still missing.
