Suggest the best app for taking notes.

I have never like the default Apple iOS Notes apps as it has always been flaky, buggy and unreliable for long term notes storage, eben when using it with iCloud as its ONLY backup.

AND, Apple only updates this app once a year when a new iOS version is introduced

It is a very basic notes app with limited features and functionalities.

Both GoodNotes and Notability are fine notetaking apps and either one or both are very good choices for comprehensive notes apps.

I use Notability and another handwring notes app called Notes Plus and a supplemental hand writing app, by the same company, called Incredible.

I can say that I use Notability, and it works fine for my needs. It does provide a number of services. And unless you get an app that has in-app purchases, or states that it is a subscription service, it is a one time cost. I know that Notability was a one-time purchase.

”Best” can be interpreted differently based on what you are needing out of a notes application. I personally like the iPad’s built-in Notes application. is there something that you are wanting that iPad’s Notes does not offer?
