I am unable to log into my iTunes account with my Apple ID and password on my Mac but my Apple ID and password work on all my other devices and accounts.

I recently changed my Apple ID and since changing it I was able to log back into all of my accounts on all of apple devices except for my iTunes account on my Mac book. I have entered the same information that was used to get me into my other accounts and had no problems, I seem to only have this issue with iTunes on my MacBook. Any suggestions to fix this would greatly be appreciated given that the sign in will not close and repeatedly keeps popping up on my screen.

Did you sign out of the old account before trying to sign in with the new ID?
