One Apple ID, multiple countries?

I read a question (without an answer) from another member, and thought maybe posting my own could help get something?

I'm split between two countries, Brazil and Japan. Spend about half my time on each place, with frequent trips every 2-3 months.

I originally purchased my phone in Japan, so the Region on my Apple ID is Japan.

Now, there are multiple applications, and a lot of content, that is not available on each of the countries. (Brazil's official Driver License App, multiple Bank and Payment apps, Games, etc.

It is too much of a hassle to change Regions on the Apple ID every time you travel. You have to lose all subscriptions, end all payments, lose all your iCloud data, etc.

Is there a way to be flexible about this? Maybe 2 Apple IDs on one phone (each with a separate credit card, for instance), or flexible Region Apple ID, for traveling, or anything like that?

iPhone XS, iOS 13

You can't have 2 IDs on one phone at the same time. You can have 2 Apple IDs, with each one set up for a different region. The only place you need to use the 2nd ID is in the App Store/iTunes. Then swap regions/IDs when required. When signed in with one ID, you won't be able to update apps purchased with the other ID. When doing this, you can remain signed into iCloud and Messages/FaceTime with the primary ID so you won't lose data. You don't have to cancel subscriptions.

A flexible Region Apple ID doesn't currently exist.
