Pasting Copied Links / Webpages Into Pages 8.1 (Results in Blank Space with Underline)

When I am pasting a copied link into a Pages document it shows up as a "blank" yet underlined active link. There is no text just a blank space that is underlined and able to be clicked through.

I have tried updating my Auto Correction preferences (Pages --> Preferences --> Auto Correction Tab), choosing all the various combination of options of "Automatically Detect Links" and "Automatically Apply Link Style." Nothing makes a difference.

The work around is to highlight the blank underlined space that is the link and changing the text Paragraph Style to "Body." Then I have to change the font/size to match the document. This is time consuming and interrupts the flow of thought + writing.

Hi VikingOSX - in my mind that's still an awkward work around but thank you for the suggestion.

I've also found this to be helpful after copying a webpage address: "Edit > Paste and Match Style"

The keyboard shortcut being Shift + Option + Command + V. Old habits will die hard but maybe I can reteach my fingers this one.
