My Iphone 8 broke so I setup an old iphone 5c while awaiting a replacement of the 8. I setup the old iphone 5c with an old 5c backup from Icloud. Today when I went to setup the replacement iphone 8, setup will only show 5c backups in icloud. I had the iphone 8 backing up regularly. What can I do?
Maybe a dumb question, but were you using the same Apple ID on both phones? On either phone, have you checked Settings>Your Name>iCloud>Manage Storage>Backups to check and see if the backup appears in there?
Did you try turning off WiFi, restart the phone, turn WiFi on and then look again? I just don’t know where else to look if it isn’t appearing in the settings.
yes, same ids. Absolutely no record of it. I actually saw it after my phone broke because I went in to check to see how recent the backup was. It was listed as December 23, 2019. Now not there. Who knows.
The broken phone has a screen problem. Can't navigate anywhere. Also can not connect to itunes with it.
i know it was set to backup regularly.
Can Apple Support go into icloud and search/restore?
