Word documents gone missing on icloud

Hi folks,

My desktops and documents are set to autosave on icloud Drive. However, when I signed out and signed in my iCloud account on my mac again, all word documents and some pdf files have gone missing. Weirdly, all the folders that contained them are still on icloud and shown on my Mac but all the contents disappeared. I didn’t delete anything and nothing in recently deleted either.

Can anyone please help me out? Those documents are important to me. Thanks so much,

I've recently come into this same issue - folders are shown on iCloud drive but not the contents. I've contacted Apple and they suggested to wait a few days for it to show up in Restore Files from the advanced section on icloud.com however - nothing has appeared.

Try going to iCloud.com/iCloud Drive using a computer browser and click on Recently Deleted at the bottom right. Then try iCloud.com/Account Settings using a computer browser and go to Advanced at the bottom left. Access Restore Files.
