MacBook Pro Display Crashes after Unplugging USB-C Dock

I recently purchased a 16" MacBook Pro and have been trying to find a good solution to use my two external displays with it. I just got a j5Create tipple display dock: https://en.j5create.com/collections/full-docking-stations/products/jcd543 and I have it working so that when I connect it to my computer both my external displays work. However when I unplug the dock my computer display gets covered with green and pink lines and I have to hold down the power button to get it to restart.

Any idea what is causing the issue and if there is any solution? I'm not sure if the problem is with the dock or with my Mac.

Thanks!

MacBook Pro 16", macOS 10.15
