Siri keeps coming up on Apple Watch when not needed?

Siri keeps listening in on my watch when I’m not asking it to (I never ask it to). I’ve tried cleaning the Digital Crown with water and turning off ‘Hey Siri’ in the settings, but it’s made no difference. It thinks I’m asking it something every 2 minutes, it’s driving me mad! Is there anything else I can try to fix this?

Hi, thanks for your response. Unfortunately I don’t think either suggestion will help.

  • My watch is being worn in the same way as I always have for the 3 years I’ve owned it, so nothing has changed on that front. Plus Siri is coming on even when I’m sat perfectly still
  • I’ve also restarted the watch numerous times and applied the latest update, with no change to the issue

if you have any other suggestions I would be very keen to hear them!

Thanks,

Kris

Hello Garthy1983,

Thank you for using apple Support Communities. It's my understanding that Siri is responding on your Apple Watch without being engaged. You've done a great job trying to get this resolved! I'm happy to help.

I recommend checking the fitting of your Apple Watch to make sure that you're not accidentally invoking Siri by pressing the Digital Crown.

If the issue persists, try restarting your Apple Watch. Restarting can resolve many unexpected behaviors.
