Trying to install my airprint printer on macbook pro. The funny thing is I have no issue using the phones just the macbook pro. I tried everything under the sun including all the support articles and nothing worked. This all started when I had router issues and the printer was not working so I deleted the printer from printers thinking it was the mac at that time long behold it was the router so when I go and try to connect to the printer it won't work I get that message. The router has been replaced and everything is functional now except for the printer and macbook.

any help would be very much appreciated.

Thanks Andy

Those links you provided I all ready tried those... I can't believe this Sh!! 3000.00 dollar laptop it can't print. Wonderful! Sorry venting....

I want to know what happened from when it was working to not working after deleting it from printer list.

Printers and scanners are typically the first causality when upgrading the macOS or new machine—so don't feel special.

See if printer management (CUPS) from the browser allows you any more insight, copy and paste to the address bar:

http://localhost:631 specifically the admin menu.

if no browser interface, from terminal.app copy and paste:

cupsctl WebInterface=yes

and try again.

Letting everyone know that doing a re-install did the trick. Everything is back to normal and operating as it should.

Re-install the printer ?

Re-install the macOS ?

From the original post above—If you can't print from your Mac or iOS device - Apple Support

"Reset the printing system

If the issue continues, reset the printing system on your Mac. This removes all printers and scanners—including their print jobs and settings—from Printers & Scanners preferences."

please advise cf resolve.

If you can not print wirelessly, try a cable connection.

I can't figure out why I have no printer software available when I could clearly see it in MACHD/Library/Printers.

<MACHD/Library/Printers> not sure what this is MACHD.

macOS Catalina has two volumes—and you do nott have r/w access to the "Macintosh HD. "

The user data is "Macintosh HD - Data"

OK... The first time I tried the web browser it didn't work so I went to terminal and did the command line and then re-tried it and now it works. So now what?

I also noticed a lot of those links don't work. When I click on some of those links it says NOT FOUND.

I also noticed and mentioned even though I installed the software there is no list of printer software in the printer section. Why? The the 10.00 question.
