I currently have a iphone 8. I just received my new iphone xr which I am trying to setup. The setup process is stuck on the Software Update step. I click on download and install. It seems to think for about 5 seconds and then stops again. Any advice on how to proceed?

OK....Reboot your phone.
Press and quickly release volume up button
Then press and quickly release volume down button
Then press and keep holding the power button (keep holding past the swipe to power off) until you see the Apple Logo, then let go.
Thank you for your reply. Yes. I am plugged in with over 50% batter and connected to wifi. When I click on "Download and install", it says "estimating time remaining" for about 5 seconds and then stops.
