If you have a Genuine Thunderbolt Display, and NOT ANY OTHER interface such as USB-C or Mini DisplayPort, you can use the Apple ThunderBolt-2 <--> Thunderbolt-3 adapter.

If you display has a only a USB-C port or Mini DisplayPort but is NOT sold as a ThunderBolt display, it will not work.

Same question and same challenge. I have a wonderful 27in display with a Thunderbolt (1?) cable (and magsafe power for which there are adapters). At the end of 2019 I bought a Macbook Pro. It is all USB3 ports. I cannot find an adapter which will allow me to port from Thunderbolt to USB3.I do not want to lose my additional screen space, nor to pollute the planet further by throwing out a perfectly functional monitor.

Is there an adapter out there which would let me still use my 27in display?
