Unable to find downloaded Podcasts/movies after Catalina update...

I just upgraded to Catalina and am having some problems getting the Podcasts and ATV apps to find my previously loaded podcasts and videos.

I used an external drive to store my iTunes media, and I was able to direct Music to pick it up on the external drive, but cannot get Podcasts or the ATV app to see the files that were available in the old iTunes app. I tried to link them through the same library file (.itl?) on the external drive that i used to get Music recognized, but it won't let me link them.

I don't want to lose the podcasts or videos I've gathered over the last decade, so any advice would be appreciated.
