Pages and Having Two Tables Side by Side

Hey everyone,


I saw a post on this question from 2011 but I'm trying to figure out how to do it in the 2020 version...I'm making a document and I need to have two tables on the same line next to each other. One on the left side, one on the right side.


How can I do this?

You will need to disable the individual tables default Object Placement of Move with Text, and Text Wrap as Inline with Text. Change Object Placement to Stay on Page, and Text Wrap to None.


Next, for each individual table, click on the round upper left target to select the entire table. Drag the lower right grip to the Northwest (diagonally) to rescale the entire table selection. Alternatively, you can duplicate the first resized table by holding the option key and dragging to its adjacent position, or ⌘+D (also duplicates).


I was being lazy, so did not populate the following example tables:
