Downloading YouTube from App Store

My son accidentally removed his YouTube app. When we tried to download YouTube again from the App shop we get the message “YouTube is not compatible with this iPad”. I can’t figure out why.

Any suggestions?

best regards,

it's up to the developer of the app which versions of ios they wish to support and in this case google have chosen not to support your older ipad software version

you can read https://appleinsider.com/articles/18/02/08/how-to-download-old-versions-of-apps-from-the-app-store-on-an-older-iphone-or-ipad-that-cant-run-ios-11

and see if it can help you

but in worst case you will have to get a new ipad or do without youtube
