Apple Watch can’t sign in to App Store

Hi I’m unable to install apps on my watch 4, I have signed in on the phone watch app in general sign in.

Unable to download apps on my son’s Apple watch My son (age 10) has a stand alone cellular series 7 Apple watch without an iPhone. He hasn’t been able to add any watch compatible apps on his watch. I know it’s possible to add apps to a watch not connected to an iPhone because this was passed down from his older brother who just upgraded to an iphone. He was able to download plenty of apps being linked to our family account through my iphone. We’ve tried so many suggestions from online but most of them are regarding watches connected to an iphone. When trying to download a watch compatible app, it asks for his Apple ID password, we double click the side button to install, it says processing, and immediately stops. We are connected to Wi-Fi, his watch is up to date, I have already tried restarting the watch. Any other suggestions before we head to the Apple Store for assistance?

It didn’t help, what I did is reset the watch and it worked. Thank you for all your help l.

Evidently your watch needs to be updated per the message you're seeing. Did you update it using the Watch App on your iPhone? See this link on how to update your Apple Watch --> Update your Apple Watch - Apple Support

Hi yes it’s updated version 6.1.1 and iPhone 11 Pro Max is on 13.3.
