iCloud mail preferences not showing much info...

I started out the morning needing to find out what the password is for my dot mac email address.

So... where do I find this information? I looked in Key Chain Access-didn't find it there although I can open up Mail and get my messages so the password has to be somewhere!

I use 1Password and have looked there but some of the entries are a bit dated, nothing current, like let's say, this morning (1/25/20) when I restarted my MBP.

When I go to look at the Preferences in Mail, it is not at all helpful. See screenshots. There is really nothing there.

I have a 2014 MBP running Catalina.

Thank you for any tips! Judy

Hello mrstee,

Thanks for asking the Apple Support Communities for help with finding your password.

Passwords can be stored in Keychain. This article should help: What is Keychain Access on Mac? - Apple Support

If the password was not saved there, you can reset it using the options in this article: If you forgot your Apple ID password - Apple Support

Thanks and have a wonderful day.
